Are you concerned your child or loved one may be developing an unhealthy relationship with food, weight +/or body image.

Step One

Step Two

If you answered ‘never’ or ‘a little but’ to most questions this indicates low risk of developing an eating disorder.
If you answered ‘ sometimes’ , ’quite a bit’ or ‘all the time’ to most questions this indicates your loved one may be experiencing symptoms common to eating disorders.

Step Three

Have a conversation to encourage your loved one to complete the EDE-Q self assessment found in “ Im Here For Myself “ button.

Someone I know may need help questionnaire

These questionnaires are not validated for children <14 years and are not designed to help identify ARFID, Pica, rumination disorder.

How do I start the conversation

Be aware that seeking help early in the development of any concerns with food, weight and body image is so important to achieving a full recovery.
It is not uncommon for people experiencing symptoms of ED”s not to recognise these. Need some guidance on how to raise the difficult conversation?
